In 5th grade I met my best friend Matthew Michael Maraldo. Surprisingly tomorrow October 31 is our friendship Anniversary. It was Halloween and we were sitting in Mrs.Kempa’s class listening to her tell us her Halloween stories from her childhood. Matt and I didn’t know each other but every five seconds we would look at each other and just laugh about Mrs.Kempa’s enthusiasm. At the end of the class I was walking down the hall headed for the stairs, so I could go to lunch. Matt was showing Allison Koestering some of his amazing dancing and I completely tripped over him we went tumbling down the stairs. I was so mad; my head had hurt so badly. I thought to myself I wonder is Matt okay. He was sprawled out across Mrs.Kempa, I could help but laugh. It’s not every day you see a fifth grader take out a teacher.
Mrs.Kempa needed ice for her knee, I had a headache and Matt’s arm was sprained. During lunch and recess we sat down by the nicest nurse ever that worked at st.mike’s. She always would call you down and check on you even like a week or two after your injury. She gave me and Matt candy, Matt took a milky way I took a Reese’s. Then the nurse started telling us stories about her childhood during Halloween. Matt is about 5’9 tall, skinny, and energetic as ever. Matt has always been tall even back then in fifth grade he was about five feet that’s tall for a fifth grader. She let me and Matt go back to class. On the way Matt I started talking about our costumes. It was so funny because we were both being fairies. I invited him to go trick-or-treating at Shelby’s with the rest of the gang. He came and we had fun we hung out for awhile. Then, the next day at school we both told Mrs.Kempa our story of Halloween. How we got lost around Shelby’s nice sub division, we ate candy till we puked, and how Matt was walking around with his arm in a sling because of his sprain.
Ever since then Matt and I have been the closest of friend’s. Even today we both go to Stevenson and laugh and hangout. Matt is still dancing today and he’s gotten better. Mrs.Kempa recovered from her knee being hurt. At that’s my best friend.

On Saturday October 10, 2009 I went to a sleep over. My whole cheer team was there it was held at Mrs. Peggy’s gymnastics’ on Levan and Farmington. It started off with fun and games and just a bunch of girls going crazy. We were wild jumping off of beams, diving into foam pits, and playing volleyball on balance beams. We had pizza, chips, and mountain dew exactly what we needed. Courtney Myers and I dug to the bottom of the foam pit at one point; we never realized that it’s not that far down.
When you look around the room you saw some girls playing beam volley ball, Morgan Droste and Heather Jaynes doing back tucks into the pit, and girls running around taking pictures. We played charades which was so funny. I would have to say our coach the most helpful, nicest, sweetest, funniest, and caring person I know put on quit a show. Coach Laura is an awesome coach she wanted to make sure we had lots of fun and tons of laughs.
Around 2:00 in the morning I and Courtney got hungry so we went to get food. I was already snacking on a bag of swedish Fish. Morgan Droste and Maria Riggi happen to be already sitting down at the table eating. I was like Courtney how good would a solid swedish fish be. Normally swedish Fish are squishy I wanted a complete solid swedish Fish. So I put the swedish Fish on a paper towel in the microwave. I set the dial for ten seconds; so I thought. Within two minutes Courtney was yelling your arm is smoking! I start freaking out I open the microwave and nothing but fumes of smoke come spreading out. Courtney is cracking up laughing on the floor. I ran and through it in the garbage. Then Morgan Droste grabs it out the garbage chasing me with it.
Around the table we went through the bathroom over some chairs. I stopped running, I stood there laughing Morgan throws it up in the air and I started walking and it lands on m y forehead. It felt like someone pressed my head against a hot stove. The rest of the night I kept telling everyone I had a headache. Also the left corner of my head was burning but, every time I looked in the mirror there was nothing there. The next morning I woke up my head was hurting even worse than yesterday but, the burning went away.
I got breakfast and sat and talked with Gabby Borg for a little while. Then I packed my stuff to go home. Pick up was at 8:30 and it was 8:00. I wanted to go home and go to sleep. I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth. I looked into the mirror to find no other than a burn of a perfect image of a swedish fish. I showed everyone and people laughed. At school on Monday I got called fish head, and other ridiculous name. On Thursday of that week I opened my locker and someone left me a bag of swedish fish. In class that day someone put swedish fish all around my desk. I will never look at swedish fish the same way and kids don’t play with microwaves it’s not safe.

It effects us all !

Nuclear weapons effect every country in the world. Recentlly the United Nations and President Obama met with the Presidet of Iran on limiting the developement of nuclear power. The United Nations fear is that Iran is not being totally honest about their plants that are starting to create nuclear energy.Every country has the right to create nuclear energy however, there are agreements made with the Uniteed Nations on the amount of nuclear energy a country can produce. The reason the United Nations montors this process is because plants that make to much nuclear energy can create nuclear weapons.Nuclear weapons in the wrong hands can make a huge effect on another country. If any counrty gets mad at another country and they are making nuclear weapons they could be used against that other country. Then war can start. Its good we are watching Iran carefully because if we weren't they could be already planning something against us or another country. We are currently trying to get Iran to tell the truth. They are saying they are just having nuclear energy but our satelites can tell when that energy gets to high. It has reached that point were it is so high we think it's for nuclear weapons. Now why would the energy be that high if its only for nuclear powers. We need to work harder on trying to get them to sign this treaty saying they can only make so much nuclear power. It's not only for us but let's say Israil makes Iran mad and they have these weapons they can be used against them in mass distruction and genocide. To me all nuclear powers being made any where not just Iran should have a limitation and a signed treaty stating what they can and can not do.

Grandma's House !

I am so excited for this weekend. Today, I am going over my lovely grandmother’s house. She is absolutely one of the sweetest, kindest, nicest, and most caring person, I have ever known. She has always been there for me to pick me up, come to my games, and take me on great trips. She is originally from Germany, so we go there every three years to see her parent’s. They are getting very old so we talk to them and try to see them as much as we can. Her father was just recently diagnosed with cancer this year. He also has had surgery where it enables him to talk a lot because of a tumor that was growing in his neck. So now every time he talks he kind of sounds like Darth Vader. He laughs about it, which is good to keep his hopes and spirits up so he doesn’t get depressed.
When I go to my grandmother’s house I usually spend time with my grandparent’s. Then I go outside to hang out with my friends. All the people over there are really nice and much older than me. Derreck is eighteen, Reesie is nineteen, Nene is eighteen, Charvae is fourteen, and everyone else is in that age bract it. But, whenever we all hangout there is nothing but good memories, laughs, and a ton of fun. Sometimes when I don’t go over there it’s kind of sad because I start to miss everyone over there.
Today, more than likely one of us will be babysitting and we will all take the turn of watching the kids. It is really funny to watch the younger kids play because I remember when I was that age. We use to play everything kickball, baseball, catch, soccer, basketball, throw the football around, hop scotch, freeze tag, and the best game of them all was a game we made up called “woopen mama”.
Those were the good ole’ days, now we all just kind of sit around and talk. I look forward to going to my grandma’s house all day or throughout the week. It’s kind of sad when you think about it. Sometimes I will even bring my friends from school there. Most of the time they have a lot of fun with us. Maybe next weekend I will just hang out at home. Maybe stay in my neighborhood and hang with my friends near my house. Go to the movies would be fun considering it's getting cold outside and might be raining all weekend. Overall, I'm going to have a great weekend.

First Day

Use To Be Scared......Now I'm More Confident Then Ever
I woke up to the sound of my alarm going off. My mom yelling "It's
your first day of High School." I responded, "ughhh.....summer's over". Mom said
"That's right time to get focused on school." Great that's the last thing I wanted to
do. Just the thought of work gives me a headache. I had just been school
shopping a week ago but, nothing seemed to have caught my eye for that first
day look. So I settled for my pink and black plad shirt with black leggings.
On my way to school I had butterflies and, motor mouth wasn't
making it any better, she knew how nervous and scared I was. All I could here at
6:55 in the morning was my mom. She was way to excited for me. As I stepped
out the car I looked at the front of Stevenson High School and thought........oh
man, I hope I survive.Considering there is about 2,000 students and I came from
St.Michael's School were there was only 850 this was a whole new enviroment
for me. I already new my whole cheer team and a few other people. A sophmore
approached me and started talking to me. She was giving me all the "Ins" and
"Outs" on Stevenson. My heart stopped racing when I realized I already had
friends.
At lunch all my friends were yelling "Kayla sit with us", "Kayla come
here", "Kayla", "Kayla." That made me more confident then ever. One girl
in my sixth hour, Mr.Sherbbs class asked me my name. I responded "Kayla
and yours?" "Allie, do you know the Koestering twins?" I said " yeah, we went
to sms together they are really nice." Allie said "yeah, I've seen you with them
before and always wanted to say something just was to scared." I responded,
"I know how that feels, but we should all hang out sometime." Mr.Sherbbs
quickly said, "Alright class that's it have a nice day." Thanks God were done.
Just to think at the begining of my day I felt like I was going to have a heart
attack. Now I'm walking out the door with my head held high, more confident
then ever.
